Ann-Marie Le Quesne was born in 1946 in Minnesota USA and studied at the Brighton College of Art in England.
She is obsessed with colour; unrestricted by any black or brown outlines, the colours sizzle against each other with glorious energy and clarity.
Her work has been exhibited at the Thumb Gallery London, York City Art Gallery, Hay Gallery Sheffield, Francis Kyle Gallery London and at the Ina Broerse Gallery in Amsterdam. Public collections which include her work are the Inner London Education Authority the Universities of Liverpool Sussex and York, the Minnesota Museum of Art and the Amos Anderson Museum in Helsinki.
