Simon was born in 1969 and studied at Staffordshire Polytechnic between 1988 and 1991. He completed his MA in Printed Textiles at the Royal College of Art in 1993 and has worked as a freelance designer, illustrator and artist since then.
Simon's collages and paintings have been exhibited in and around London since 1991 and his work has proved particularly popular in mixed shows at CCA Bath, CCA Selfridges and CCA Farnham.
Simon's first silkscreen prints were completed at Advanced Graphics in London and they are representative of the subject matter that he is now well known for; peaceful scenes of harbours and seaside towns with charming boats and buildings. Simon's use of colour and texture in both his collages and prints show sensitivity and warmth.
